Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a senior engineer to shape the direction of a small Command and Control Software team, specializing in path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination for autonomous systems.

You will prototype high-performance planners, integrate them into real-time C2 workflows, and validate behavior with simulations. Candidates must have 8+ years in algorithm design and be eligible for a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in algorithm design, software development, and mathematical modeling with C/C++, Python, Matlab.
• Deep knowledge of path planning: A*, D*, RRT, PRM, lattice/grid planners.
• Experience in guidance, navigation, and control, including trajectory optimization.
• Strong applied math: linear algebra, optimization, computational geometry.
• Vehicle dynamics and control theory for autonomous platforms.
• Map representations and large-scale geospatial data handling in distributed C2.
• Background in machine learning applied to planning and decision-making.
• Must be eligible for U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and influence direction of a small team within the Command and Control Software organization.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination.
• Develop high-performance software for real-time C2 systems and autonomous tasking.
• Design robust planners and algorithms for safe, feasible routes in dynamic environments.
• Analyze system performance with simulations and statistical methods.
• Drive customer success by customizing algorithms for mission-critical use cases.
• Integrate path planning into the broader C2 software stack and lifecycle.
• Translate progress into clear insights for stakeholders.
