Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead a small team focused on path planning and route optimization for real-time command and control software. You will prototype high-performance algorithms and deploy solutions that coordinate autonomous assets across complex, contested environments.

The role emphasizes MLOps-informed planning, robust system design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in algorithm design, software development, and mathematical modeling.
• Strong knowledge of path planning techniques (A*, D* Lite, RRT/RRT*, PRM) and lattice/grid planners.
• Experience in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) and trajectory optimization.
• Background in machine learning as applied to planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Define and influence the direction of a small team within the Command and Control Software organization.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms for global and local path planning and multi-agent coordination.
• Develop high-performance software for real-time C2 systems and autonomous routing services.
• Design and implement robust planners and decision-making systems for dynamic, contested environments.
• Analyze system performance with high-fidelity simulations and statistics to validate behavior.
