Job summary

PSC Biotech is seeking a Senior Automation Systems Lead to provide technical and operational leadership for GMP manufacturing automation systems within a highly regulated life sciences environment. You will oversee PCS, SCADA, historian platforms, and OT technologies, working with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, compliance, and security.

Role involves leading support activities for Rockwell PLCs, FactoryTalk tools, Ignition SCADA, MQTT, and UNS.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in GMP-regulated life sciences automation.
• 5+ years leading automation support teams.
• Experience in 24x7 manufacturing environment.
• GMP documentation and change-control knowledge.
• Experience with Change Control, CAPA, deviation management, validation lifecycle, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational leadership for GxP manufacturing automation and control systems, including PCS, SCADA, historians, and OT infrastructure.
• Lead day-to-day automation service delivery, troubleshooting, and lifecycle activities in a 24x7 environment.
• Coordinate advanced troubleshooting and root cause investigations for complex issues.
• Monitor system availability, performance, alarms, and reliability across manufacturing.
• Review technical solutions and changes for compliance and alignment with requirements.
• Support firmware upgrades, lifecycle activities, patching, and modernization initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across automation systems.
• Develop preventive maintenance strategies and obsolescence management plans.
• Coordinate cybersecurity, backup verification, and disaster recovery activities.
• Ensure data integrity, audit trails, and security requirements are maintained.
