Job summary

ROIS in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to support and enhance GMP lab and manufacturing systems. The role acts as a technical resource across Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Validation, and IT to ensure reliable and compliant operations of automation systems at the site.

The candidate should have strong PLC/SCADA experience in regulated environments and a solid understanding of industrial safety standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
5+ years of experience supporting automation or industrial control systems.
Experience in GMP/pharmaceutical or regulated environments.
Familiarity with PLC programming and SCADA/HMI platforms.
Knowledge of GMP/cGMP and GAMP principles.
Strong reading of electrical schematics, ladder logic, P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, commission, and support GMP automation and computerized systems.
Provide advanced troubleshooting for manufacturing, laboratory, and automation systems.
Support validation activities, testing, change controls, SOPs, and documentation.
Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI, and SCADA platforms.
Support local infrastructure, databases, networking, and integrations.
Drive continuous improvement to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Validation, IT).
Participate in project execution, vendor coordination, and after-hours support.
