Job summary

Mission Driven Research in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Performance Analyst Engineer to support analysis of Ground-based Missile Defense (GMD) systems for the MDA.

The role involves developing analytical tools in MATLAB and Python, performing simulations and statistical analyses, interpreting results, and communicating findings to engineering teams and government stakeholders.

Requires a Master’s in STEM with 12+ years of experience and an active SECRET or higher clearance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Active security clearance (SECRET or higher) required.
• Proficient in MATLAB and Python for data analysis and visualization.
• Experience supporting MDA GMD programs and missile defense analyses.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance analyses of GMD system capabilities using modeling and simulation tools.
• Develop methodologies to evaluate system effectiveness, interceptor performance, engagement outcomes, and mission success.
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical tools using MATLAB and Python.
• Conduct statistical analyses, Monte Carlo simulations, and trade studies to support engineering decisions.
• Analyze large datasets from missile defense simulations to identify trends and improvements.
• Develop technical reports, presentations, and data visualizations for leadership.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, modeling and simulation teams, software developers, and SMEs.
• Support design reviews and customer briefings.
• Maintain analytical documentation and ensure consistency of modeling assumptions.
