Job summary

Telesis in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Performance Analysis Engineer to support Ground-based Missile Defense performance assessments for the Missile Defense Agency. This full-time, on-site role allows telework and some travel.

You will develop MATLAB, Python, and C++ analysis tools, run modeling and simulation environments, and interpret results for engineering teams and government stakeholders. Collaboration across disciplines is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 7+ years of professional experience.
• Experience supporting MDA GMD programs.
• Proficiency in MATLAB (model development, data analysis and visualization).
• Advanced Python proficiency with NumPy, SciPy, Pandas and Matplotlib.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, numerical methods, optimization and simulation-based performance assessment.
• Experience turning simulation outputs into actionable engineering recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including briefing government customers and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MATLAB, Python and C++ analysis tools for medium fidelity modeling, simulation and performance assessment of GBI and NGI.
• Develop, execute and analyze modeling and simulation environments to evaluate interceptor performance across engagement scenarios and mission conditions.
• Perform quick response analysis for the IDT, including kinematic battlespace assessments.
• Conduct interceptor performance analysis to identify capabilities, trends and limitations and support technical decisions.
• Help develop future interceptor analysis capabilities, methodologies, models and tools.
• Interpret simulation results and brief methodologies, assumptions and conclusions to engineering teams, program leadership and government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on emerging analysis needs.
