Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Senior GMD Performance Analysis Engineer for our Huntsville, AL team to analyze Ground-based Missile Defense systems.

You will develop analytical tools in MATLAB/Python/C++, create modeling environments, and communicate results to engineers, leadership, and government stakeholders. You will perform mission and system performance analyses across threat scenarios, evaluate engagement performance, and support technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance (SECRET or above) required.
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 7+ years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting MDA GMD Programs.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, including model development, data analysis, and visualization.
• Advanced Python proficiency with NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
• Experience evaluating missile defense engagement performance and system capabilities.
• Strong statistical, numerical, optimization, and simulation-based skills.
• Experience translating analyses into engineering recommendations and presenting to government leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MATLAB, Python, and C++ analysis tools for modeling and performance assessments of GBI/NGI.
• Create M&S environments to evaluate interceptor performance across scenarios and conditions.
• Perform quick-response analyses for IDT including kinematic battlespace assessments.
• Evaluate system capabilities, identify performance trends, and support decision-making.
• Enhance future interceptor analysis capabilities, models, and tools.
• Interpret simulation results and provide technical conclusions and recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefings to engineers, leadership, and government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address evolving analysis needs.
