Job summary

JLL in Washington, DC seeks a Senior General Manager to lead operations for a Class A office building and guide cross‑functional teams toward ambitious performance targets.

The role focuses on executive client relationships, P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic growth in commercial real estate. On‑site presence is required and leadership of senior professionals is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial real estate or related professional services.
• Strong business development skills to secure and grow major client relationships.
• Advanced financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive‑level audiences and stakeholder management.
• Deep understanding of commercial real estate markets, trends, and industry best practices.
• All other tasks which may be required to comply with Property Management Agreements, local ordinances, or as necessary to ensure property operations

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational performance across a portfolio of class A office properties.
• Build and maintain executive relationships with key clients and serve as strategic advisor.
• Mentor and develop management talent to strengthen team performance.
• Collaborate with regional and global leadership to implement best practices.
• Manage P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource optimization.
• Present to senior leadership on business performance and strategic initiatives.
• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives while supporting wellbeing
