Job summary
American Express Global Business Travel seeks energetic travel counselors to join our Traveler Care Team. You will provide end-to-end, white-glove travel service from home in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, supporting entertainment and media clients with complex itineraries.
The role demands 5+ years in travel consulting and customer service, deep GDS knowledge (Sabre/Amadeus) and Office 365, plus strong communication.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Travel Consultant and Customer Service experience.
- Advanced knowledge of global points of sale and international routings.
- Proficiency in native GDS (Sabre or Amadeus) and O365 products.
- Professional written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments with proactive follow-through.
Responsibilities
- Frontline travel counselor support; guide team on policy, ticketing, customer service.
- Prioritize workload and direct team to meet customer SLAs.
- Training and quality monitoring to ensure high service levels.
- Build relationships with team, leaders, clients, coordinators, and suppliers.
- Resolve disruptions, escalations, exchanges, waitlists, and complex fare issues.
- Provide feedback via coaching and share knowledge updates.
- Communicate policy updates and maintain training materials.
- Book and manage global air, hotel, rail, and ground travel bookings.
