Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Trade Compliance Program Manager to build and manage import/export risk solutions for growing international Trade Operations. You will own key workstreams across a complex risk program and mentor peers within the Global Trade Services team.

You will partner with legal, logistics, engineering, and regulators to implement scalable controls and measure impact, while driving program execution across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• 6 years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
• 5 years of program or project management experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute Broker Management processes and liaise with brokers and supply chain participants daily.
• Regulatory engagement across the Trade space in North America.
• Contribute to objectives and drive improvements within your program area, quantifying impact with metrics.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders including business teams, tech teams, public policy, trade, legal, and regulators to interpret and apply regulations.
• Execute the rollout of controls and audits, including testing and measuring their effectiveness.
• Build flexible and scalable solutions across various technologies, business models/supply chain arcs, and country regulatory regimes.
• Stay informed on regulations and technologies relevant to your space and incorporate them into risk management programs.
• Present organized plans articulating the problem statement, recommended solution, and milestones.
• Identify timelines and owners, and drive progress at the appropriate speed to reduce risk.
• Provide near and long-term considerations and impacts, highlighting recommended trade-offs and priorities.
• Test assumptions by gathering feedback from input providers across the company, and review metrics and benchmarks.
• Work with business intelligence engineers and technology teams to design, build, and track key performance indicators and systems.
• Communicate risks, proposals, regulatory updates, and strategies to stakeholders in meetings and documents.
