Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Sr. Import and Export Analyst to support global trade operations, ensuring compliant and efficient cross-border shipments. You will manage complex issues independently while collaborating with brokers, carriers, and internal teams.

The role emphasizes analyzing trade data, maintaining documentation, and driving continuous improvement in global trade processes. Strong Excel and ERP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Several years of experience in import/export operations, global logistics, or customs compliance.
• Experience coordinating cross-border shipments and supporting international transportation and customs processes.
• Strong knowledge of import/export documentation, customs entry processes, and trade compliance controls.
• Experience with brokers, forwarders, carriers and cross-functional partners in a global environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP or related systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily import and export activities to support timely, compliant movement of goods across borders.
• Review shipping and customs documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers and internal stakeholders to support shipment execution and resolve issues.
• Ensure import/export transactions comply with trade laws, internal procedures, and company requirements.
• Prepare and maintain reports on shipment activity, costs, and compliance trends.
• Identify, investigate and resolve complex import/export operational and compliance issues.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve trade processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop standardized processes to improve efficiency and regulatory compliance across global trade activities.
