In this role, you will manage cross-border shipment processes, support customs compliance activities, maintain accurate trade documentation, and help resolve operational issues that may impact delivery performance or regulatory adherence. • Partner with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal stakeholders to support shipment execution, monitor customs clearance activity, and resolve shipment exceptions such as delays, holds, missing documentation, classification issues, and customs inquiries.
  • Ensure import and export transactions are processed in accordance with applicable trade laws, regulations, internal procedures, and company compliance requirements.
  • Support trade compliance activities including tariff classification, country of origin reviews, record retention requirements, denied party screening coordination, customs valuation support, and free trade agreement documentation, where applicable.
  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain reports related to shipment activity, service performance, transportation and duty-related costs, and compliance trends to support operational visibility and decision making.

  • Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, planning, customer service, finance, and logistics stakeholders to improve trade processes, strengthen compliance controls, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and support standardized processes that improve operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and execution consistency across global trade activities.
  • Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues by providing guidance on trade processes, documentation requirements, compliance expectations, and problem resolution.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Several years of experience in import/export operations, global logistics, customs compliance, international trade, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-border shipments and supporting international transportation and customs processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of import/export documentation, customs entry processes, international shipment coordination, and trade compliance controls.
  • Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and cross-functional business partners in a global environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to independently manage complex issues and determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP or related business systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
