Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Sr. Import and Export Analyst to support global trade operations by ensuring import and export activities are compliant, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

You will manage cross-border shipment processes, support customs compliance activities, maintain accurate trade documentation, and help resolve operational issues that may impact delivery performance or regulatory adherence. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Several years of import/export operations experience.
• Experience coordinating cross-border shipments and international transportation.
• Proficiency with import/export documentation and customs processes.
• Experience with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and cross-functional partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP or related systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily import and export activities to support timely and compliant movement of goods across borders.
• Review shipping and customs documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Partner with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal stakeholders to support shipment execution and resolve exceptions.
• Ensure import/export transactions comply with trade laws, internal procedures, and company requirements.
• Support tariff classification, country of origin reviews, record retention, denied party screening, and FTAs where applicable.
• Prepare and maintain reports on shipment activity, service performance, and compliance trends.
• Investigate and resolve complex trade operational and compliance issues.
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, planning, finance, and logistics to improve trade processes.
• Develop standardized processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
