Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Senior Manager to lead key components of the company’s trade compliance program. You will guide sanctions, export controls, screening, and valuation, partnering with legal and cross-functional teams worldwide.

You will drive due diligence, enhance processes with automation and analytics, and support strategic initiatives throughout the enterprise. This role requires strong leadership and regulatory expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s or Bachelor’s with relevant experience in compliance or screening operations, risk management, regulatory affairs, audit, law, or related field.
• Experience in compliance or screening operations and related fields as per degree requirements.
• Experience with sanctions, export controls, and ownership due diligence in trade compliance contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead elements of Amgen's global trade compliance program, advising on sanctions, export controls, and screening.
• Escalation point for high-risk screening alerts and ownership determinations; perform enhanced due diligence.
• Lead global clinical trial customs valuation program and annual true-up process.
• Utilize automation, AI, and analytics to improve efficiency, scalability, and risk detection.
• Support trade compliance initiatives and special projects across the Global Trade Compliance organization.
• Provide trade compliance support for strategic initiatives, acquisitions, product launches, and supply chain changes.
• Lead multiple complex initiatives in a dynamic global environment.
• Foster a culture of ethics, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
