Job summary

Rocket Lab, based in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Senior Global Supply Manager II to lead sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships for space programs. You will guide procurement from development to production, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery.

You will drive supplier performance, manage cost and risk, and partner with legal to establish contracts while advancing the company’s world-class rocket and satellite programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing or supplier management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (12+ years total).
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies aligned with program goals for cost, quality, and delivery.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships from RFIs to contract execution.
• Lead supplier negotiations on a first principles basis to secure best terms.
• Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance through metrics and reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier capabilities meet program requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, ensuring resilience and reliability.
• Engage with Legal/Contracts to establish the right contractual framework.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and maintain should-cost models and analysis.
• Conduct market research and stay ahead of industry trends to inform decisions.
• Act as the go-to procurement expert in a fast-paced environment.
