Job summary

Rocket Lab, a leading space company, seeks a Senior Global Supply Manager II who will own sourcing strategies, build supplier partnerships, and drive resilience for Electron & Neutron programs. Based onsite in Long Beach, CA, you’ll collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver world-class results.

You will lead negotiations, manage supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities while engaging with legal to establish robust contracts and compliance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing or supplier management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (12+ years total).
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with program goals for cost, quality, and delivery.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships from RFIs to contract execution and beyond.
• Lead supplier negotiations on a first principles basis to secure best-in-class terms.
• Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance through metrics, scorecards, and reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier capabilities meet program requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure resilience and reliability.
• Engage with Legal/Contracts to establish the right contractual framework.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and maintain should-cost analyses and models.
• Conduct market research and stay ahead of industry trends for strategic decisions.
• Act as the go-to procurement expert in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
