Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Global Supply Manager II to lead sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships across rocket and space programs. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive supply chain resilience and cost-effective production from development to serial manufacture.

You will build supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with program goals and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of procurement, sourcing or supplier management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (12+ years total).
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with program goals.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships from RFIs to contracts.
• Lead supplier negotiations for best terms in cost, quality, and delivery.
• Drive supplier performance improvements via metrics and reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams across programs.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure resilience.
• Engage Legal/Contracts to establish appropriate contract framework.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and maintain should-cost models.
