Job summary

Permag is a leading provider of engineered magnetic solutions, spanning Dexter Magnetic Technologies, EEC, and MCE. The Purchasing Manager will lead strategic/global sourcing, supplier development, and a cross-site team to ensure supply continuity, improved performance, and cost reductions.

The role requires 7+ years in purchasing/supply chain in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setting, strong ERP/MRP skills (EPICOR preferred), and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 7+ years in progressive purchasing or supply chain with leadership responsibility.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
• Global sourcing and multi-site supplier management experience required.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/MRP experience; EPICOR knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute global sourcing strategies for raw materials, components, machining, outside processing, MRO, and other manufacturing requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop domestic and international suppliers.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier negotiations, cost analysis, and sourcing decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, capacity commitments, and commercial agreements.
• Develop dual-source and localization strategies to reduce risk and drive savings.
• Lead and develop Buyers and Purchasing professionals across multiple locations.
