Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ is seeking a Global Rewards Partner for Global Support Functions to lead compensation strategy, pay governance, and job architecture across software engineering, legal, finance, and other teams.

You will advise executives, conduct market intelligence, and apply AI-supported analysis to drive fair, competitive rewards. This is a senior, matrixed role reporting to the Executive Director, Compensation and Global Programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related discipline (or pursuing degree).
• 8+ years progressive compensation experience in job architecture, market pricing, and pay structure design.
• Proven track record advising senior leaders, including at executive level.
• Strong quantitative and analytical capability with data-backed decision making.
• Experience in global, matrixed environments and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior rewards partner to HR partners of Global Support Functions.
• Provide compensation guidance aligned with business strategy and governance.
• Lead market intelligence, benchmarking, and pay structure recommendations.
• Advise on job architecture, offers, and incentives for senior roles.
• Support recognition and incentive plan design with cross-functional teams.
• Leverage AI tools to improve research, analysis, and reporting.
