Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ seeks an Associate Director, Treasury Benefits Finance to provide financial support for domestic and global employee benefit programs and to lead forecasting, analysis, and funding activities.

You will partner with HR, Legal, Tax, and finance teams, manage budgets over $1B, ensure compliant funding, and contribute to quarterly and annual reporting, with a hybrid work model and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational and project management skills.
• Experience with large data sets and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting, financial analysis, accounting, reporting, compliance and funding for benefit programs.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly/quarterly close activities for >$1B in employee benefit expense.
• Ensure efficient and compliant funding of >$1B in employee benefits spend.
• Prepare schedules and analyses for quarterly and annual reporting.
• Oversee global and domestic third-party service providers and internal controls.
