Job summary

Augmentis Group, on behalf of a global provider of advanced engineered solutions, seeks a Procurement Specialist in Newport News, VA. The role supports two major procurement teams to secure supply, reduce costs, and optimize processes while ensuring compliance with company procedures.

You will prepare RFQs, review quotes, negotiate terms, place and manage purchase orders, monitor invoices, and collaborate with Shipping, Operations, Engineering, Quality, AP to resolve plant issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, or engineering.
• ITAR requires U.S. person status (citizen or Green Card holder).
• 5 years of procurement, finance, or supply chain experience preferred.
• Experience with Oracle or similar Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Willingness to frequently visit the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs and proposals based on plant requirements.
• Review quotations and perform cost analyses for best value.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times.
• Place and manage purchase orders to support production and inventory.
• Monitor invoices and resolve issues with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Reconcile shipping documentation with Receiving.
• Collaborate with Shipping, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, AP, Facilities.
• Assist onboarding of new suppliers and item set-ups.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures for audits.
• Provide attentive support to overall business operations.
