Job summary

Augmentis Group is representing a global provider of engineered solutions seeking a procurement professional in Norfolk, VA. The role involves supporting two major procurement teams to secure supply, reduce costs, optimize processes, and mitigate supplier risk while ensuring schedule adherence and value across supplies and services.

Ideal candidates have a business- or engineering-related degree, 5+ years in procurement or supply chain, and experience with ORACLE/ERP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• ITAR requires U.S. person status.
• 5 years of procurement/finance/supply chain experience.
• Experience with ORACLE or similar ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to visit the shop floor.
• Customer-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs and RFPs based on Plant requirements.
• Review quotations and perform cost analyses for best value.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and lead times aligned with Plant goals.
• Place and manage purchase orders to support production and inventory needs.
• Maintain accurate pricing and vendor data in the system.
• Monitor invoices and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution.
• Reconcile shipping docs with Receiving department.
• Collaborate with Shipping, Operations, Engineering, QA, Accounts Payable, Facilities.
• Assist onboarding of new suppliers and item setups.
• Ensure procurement procedure compliance for audits.
• Provide excellent support to overall business operations.
