Job summary

Brenntag North America LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Network Architect to lead the design and deployment of resilient LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless systems across global sites. You will own device configuration, lifecycle, and advanced troubleshooting for routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless controllers.

The role emphasizes security integration, Zero-Trust practices, and proactive monitoring with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering, including senior/lead roles.
Expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP and dynamic routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP).
Deep expertise with enterprise networking equipment: Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Fortinet or Juniper.
Network automation skills using Python, Terraform or Ansible.
Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Cacti or PRTG.
IPAM, DHCP, DNS at enterprise scale; knowledge of security segmentation and Zero-Trust.
Experience with Agile frameworks at scale (Scrum, Kanban); CCNP/CCIE or equivalent is a strong plus.
Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to mentor engineers and collaborate with security and PMs.

Responsibilities

Define architecture standards and lead LAN/WAN/SD-WAN and wireless deployments across global sites.
Own configuration, lifecycle, and troubleshooting of routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless controllers.
Design and maintain firewall policies, VPNs, segmentation, and Zero-Trust with Information Security.
Define monitoring KPIs, analyze network health, and lead root-cause analyses for major incidents.
Plan hardware upgrades, patch management, and change management for business-critical environments.
Design and validate disaster recovery and business continuity plans (RTO/RPO).
Architect and manage cloud/hybrid networking across AWS, Azure, and other providers.
Drive network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Network Engineers and cross-functional teams.
