Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company seeks a Principal Engineer to lead global manufacturing-process methods and standards. You will shape DFMA, GBOP, PFMEA, and NPI processes, driving readiness from prototypes to production across regions and plants.

The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing engineering, strong leadership, and ability to communicate complex topics to executives. Travel up to 20% and a comprehensive benefits package accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering required; advanced degree or professional designation preferred.
• 10+ years in manufacturing engineering and process definition for new products.
• Experience in high-variation, low-volume manufacturing and influential technical leadership.
• DFMA, industrial engineering, Lean process design, PFMEA, routings, manufacturing time, fixtures, process validation, and process governance.
• Executive-level technical communication, company-wide influence, technical coaching, and relevant external technical engagement.

Responsibilities

• Establish technical methods that translate DFMA direction into product specifications and NPI deliverables.
• Define robust global methods for process definition, prototypes, pilots, validation, and readiness.
• Own technical content and methodology for global process standards, GBOP, PFMEA, global assembly standards, manufacturing-time methods, and process libraries.
• Establish internal standards and guide correct engineering methodologies.
• Develop unconventional approaches for unique process challenges.
• Define process requirements represented in ERP, MES, routings, work centers, and master data.
• Translate process requirements into equipment, automation, tooling, fixture, and specification requirements with AMT.
• Serve as company expert and advise stakeholders at all levels.
• Coach AMEs, regional engineers, and subject matter experts.
• Present complex topics to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
• Lead through influence all COEs and establish charter, governance, and deliverables.
