Job summary

Eisai is seeking a Sr. Global Logistics Coordinator in the United States to manage imports/exports, regulatory compliance with FDA/USDA/CBP, and documentation flow for internal and external partners. You will oversee routing, carrier selection, and ERP transactions with 3PLs, CMOs, and distributors.

The role emphasizes strong communication, accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment; prior pharma logistics and hazardous materials experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associates or undergraduate degree in Logistics preferred; in lieu of degree, 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in global logistics and trade compliance.
• 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Import/export certification training.
• Hazardous shipping experience; certification a plus.
• SAP warehouse management proficiency.
• FDA, USDA, CBP regulations and compliance proficiency.
• Understanding of VAT rules and EU regulations.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, tariff codes, and US Customs recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Create commercial and pro forma invoices, USDA statements, pack slips, and domestic bills of lading.
• Review and revise SOPs; update routing guides and Work Instruction Documents.
• Ensure US Customs, FDA, USDA, and DEA compliance and timely inventory clearance.
• Ensure compliance with CTPAT rules and regulations.
• Handle hazardous shipping issues; manage transportation custody.
• Oversee domestic and international transportation management.
• Monitor the Eisai SAP/ERP system and distribution interface; reconcile inventory balances.
• Audit documentation and retain records; administer distribution license renewal.
• Provide backup coverage for Logistics Supervisor as needed.
