Job summary

Tradewin is seeking a Senior Import Consultant to excel in a fast-paced, professional environment. You will interpret and apply U.S. CBP and Partner Government Agency regulations, audit imports, and prepare detailed client recommendations.

Strong communication and project management skills are essential. Ideal candidates bring at least five years in import compliance, proficiency with Word/Excel, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in import compliance or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and Partner Government Agency requirements.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; Access experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, clients, government agencies, and external parties.
• Research, interpret, and apply CBP and PGA regulations.
• Prepare analyses, opinion letters, compliance memoranda, and client recommendations.
• Audit import entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate importer compliance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage multiple concurrent consulting projects, priorities, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate, timely daily records of project activities and billable time.
• Contribute to departmental process improvements and knowledge sharing.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
