Job summary

Tradewin is seeking a Senior Import Consultant to join our fast-paced, professional team in the United States. You will research, interpret, and apply U.S. CBP and Partner Government Agency regulations, prepare analyses and recommendations, and audit import entries for regulatory compliance.

You will manage multiple projects, maintain detailed records, and contribute to process improvements while collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive experience in import compliance or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. CBP regulations and Partner Government Agencies.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Import Consultant who thrives in a fast-paced, professional, and dynamic environment. The Senior Import Consultant will be responsible for:

• Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with internal stakeholders, clients, government agencies, and other external parties.
• Research, interpret, and apply U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Partner Government Agency regulations.
• Prepare well-supported analyses, opinion letters, compliance memoranda, and client recommendations.
• Audit import entries and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate importer compliance with U.S. Customs laws and regulations, identify risks and gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage multiple concurrent consulting projects, priorities, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate, timely daily records of project activities and billable time.
• Contribute to departmental process improvements, knowledge sharing, and the development of effective compliance practices.
• Work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in import compliance, customs consulting, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex regulatory matters clearly and professionally.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and applicable Partner Government Agency requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Microsoft Access or comparable database tools preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, as business needs require.
