Job summary

Tradewin is seeking a Senior Import Consultant to join our team in the United States. You will research, interpret, and apply U.S. CBP regulations, audit import entries, and provide client-oriented compliance analyses and recommendations.

The role requires at least five years in import compliance or related fields, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive experience in import compliance, customs consulting, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to present regulatory matters clearly and professionally.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and Partner Government Agency requirements.
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency; experience with Access preferred.
• Travel up to 25% as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, clients, government agencies, and external parties.
• Research, interpret, and apply U.S. CBP and Partner Government Agency regulations.
• Prepare analyses, opinion letters, compliance memoranda, and client recommendations.
• Audit import entries and documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate importer compliance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage multiple concurrent consulting projects, priorities, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Document project activities and billable time accurately.
• Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
