Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a HUB Category Manager to build resilient and cost-effective supply chains supporting the energy sector.

You will lead category strategies, analyze markets, and negotiate with suppliers to maximize value while ensuring continuity and performance across global operations. You’ll collaborate with engineering, operations, R&D, and commercial teams, leveraging data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 7+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing strategy development and contract negotiations.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders in a global environment.
• Certifications such as CIPS or CPSM preferred.

• Develop and implement category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze market dynamics, supplier landscapes, spend data, and cost drivers.
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract management for value.
• Align supply capabilities with demand for continuity and planning.
• Drive cost optimization, productivity improvements, risk mitigation.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams globally to support priorities.
• Support strategic initiatives including new product introductions and bid activities.
