Job summary

Legora is building a world-class benefits function and seeks a Senior Manager, Global Benefits to own benefits and leaves across the US and international markets. You will report to the VP of Rewards and collaborate with regional teams to translate global design into compliant, market-ready plans.

This hands-on role requires prior global benefits experience, ownership mindset, and the ability to scale processes, vendors, and team as Legora grows. A path to Director awaits as the function matures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive benefits experience across US and international markets.
• Deep US health and welfare, 401(k), leave, ERISA/ACA/COBRA/HIPAA/FMLA knowledge.
• International benefits experience in EMEA/APAC with understanding of minimum statuary requirements.
• Vendor/broker management including RFPs, negotiations, and accountability.
• Able to build and defend a benefits budget and model costs.
• Strong communication to translate complex benefits for leaders.
• Collaborates with regional HR/Total Rewards to enact global strategy locally.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment building the function from scratch.
• Experience with modern HRIS platforms (HiBob or similar).
• Experience mentoring/leading a benefits analyst or coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Own the global benefits and leave of absence strategy across US and international markets.
• Partner with regional and total rewards teams to execute locally while aligning with global design.
• Lead end-to-end annual cycle: renewals, open enrollment, plan changes, carrier transitions.
• Manage broker, carrier, and administrator relationships, including RFPs and negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with market regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.).
• Own the global leave of absence program and ensure consistent administration as headcount grows.
• Manage benefits budget with Finance using utilization and cost data.
• Create localized employee communications tailored market by market.
• Collaborate with People, Talent Acquisition to strengthen employer value proposition.
• Build processes, documentation, and HRIS configurations to scale the function.
• Support due diligence and integration during acquisitions.
• Hire and mentor a Benefits Analyst as the team grows.
