Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Global Accounting team, driving financial reporting, consolidations, and process improvements in a large, global organization.

You will work on month-end close, intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, and capital project reporting, leveraging ERP systems and advanced data analysis to support audits and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a large corporate or public accounting environment.
• Strong general ledger accounting experience including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large volumes of financial data.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Partner with Accounting, Tax, Finance, and Cost Accounting teams to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare management reports and provide meaningful analysis of financial results, trends, and variances.
• Support consolidation and reporting processes across multiple entities and business units.
• Maintain and analyze transfer pricing data while assisting with intercompany accounting activities.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial records.
• Assist with capital project accounting and fixed asset reporting activities.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Leverage Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools to analyze large data sets and drive informed business decisions.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives that support the continued growth and evolution of the finance organization.
