Aston Carter in Carlsbad, CA seeks a Senior Accountant to strengthen financial reporting, month-end close, and process improvements across the organization. This role offers high visibility and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive accuracy and efficiency.

You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, reporting packages, profitability analysis, and support for audits and internal controls while contributing to automation and workflow improvements.

Formación

• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Self-motivated with proactive ownership and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare financial reports, account analyses, and reporting packages for business stakeholders.
• Review expenses and invoices to ensure proper coding, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
• Partner with operational teams to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy.
• Assist with profitability analysis and business reporting initiatives.
• Support tax filings, audit requests, and internal control processes.
• Help streamline accounting workflows through process improvements and automation efforts.
• Contribute to system enhancements and reporting optimization projects.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
