Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounting Systems Analyst to support multiple accounting teams through data reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and analytical reporting. The role emphasizes ERP workflow learning and collaboration with IT, Operations, and Finance.

You will tackle high volumes of transactional data, contribute to month-end close, and participate in ongoing process improvements within a large, operational finance environment.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of analytical experience required.
• Background as Data/Business/Accounting/Operations Analyst or similar.
• Strong Excel skills demonstrated in the role.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt.
• Curiosity, attention to detail, and process focus.
• Experience researching issues and solving problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve accounting data discrepancies.
• Analyze information across multiple systems to identify root causes.
• Support accounting teams with transaction validation and reconciliation.
• Learn system workflows and document business processes.
• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Maintain data accuracy and support integration efforts related to acquisitions.
• Develop reports and perform data analysis using Excel and other tools.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and IT to identify gaps and improve processes.
