Job summary

Simmonds Precision seeks a Senior General Ledger Accountant to manage core month-end close activities, complex reconciliations, and process improvements in a regulated aerospace manufacturing setting. You will ensure GAAP compliance and support accurate financial reporting.

This role offers opportunities for expanded responsibility within a growing finance team, collaborating across AR, AP, Cost Accounting, and Operations while maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 4-6+ years of progressive accounting experience including general ledger responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills and interest in learning ERP tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Ensure financial statements and reports are accurate and on time.
