Job summary

Funic Tech is seeking a GIS Support lead with a strong techno-functional background to implement ESRI-based GIS solutions for Electric and Gas Utilities in North America. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in IT and GIS, with experience on ArcGIS Desktop and ArcFM.

You will provide Level 2/3 support, troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver enhancements, integrations, and deployment of patches, plus thorough documentation.

Qualifications

5-10 years of total IT experience with at least 5 years implementing GIS solutions.
Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro) and ArcFM.
Familiarity with GIS concepts, geodatabases, and spatial data management.
Experience with SQL, Python scripting, and ArcObjects or .NET for customization.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication with business users and technical teams.
Experience with ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS.
Knowledge of electric/gas utility workflows and data models.
Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

Provide Level 2/3 support for ESRI and ArcFM applications.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application-related issues in a timely manner.
Monitor application performance and ensure high availability.
Analyze root causes of recurring problems and implement permanent fixes.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for escalated issues.
Assist development teams in implementing enhancements, customizations, and integrations.
Support testing, deployment, and configuration of new features or patches.
Maintain documentation for workflows, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Provide guidance and training to end-users on application functionality.
Create and maintain SOPs for BAU activities covering purpose, scope, step-by-step procedures, escalation matrix, and validation/rollback steps for deployments.
Respond to user queries and ensure adherence to SLAs.
Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
Stay updated with latest ESRI and ArcFM releases and best practices.
