Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Senior GIS Specialist to join our Environmental Services Geospatial team in the Madison area. You will work on ESRI ArcGIS environments, lead projects, and collaborate with a large team of geospatial professionals to deliver GIS solutions for environmental and infrastructure projects.
The role emphasizes data management, spatial analysis, and client-facing communication, with opportunities to contribute to multidisciplinary projects across mining, transportation, and energy
Qualifications
- Proficient with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, including Experience Builder.
- Experience solving problems with GIS, presenting results to multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of GIS mapping, geospatial analysis, coordinate systems, and data management.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain spatial and non-spatial information for ESRI ArcGIS platforms.
- Produce web maps, dashboards, and data for field crews (Survey123, Field Maps, AGO).
- Lead GIS projects including data, budgets, and timelines in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Implement data integrity and quality control procedures.
- Serve as GIS lead on projects and liaise with internal/external staff and clients.
