Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior GIS Specialist to join our Environmental Services Geospatial team in Wisconsin. You will work with over 160 geospatial professionals to deliver ESRI-based solutions for environmental assessments, permitting, and planning.

You will lead GIS projects, manage data and budgets, and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to implement geospatial strategies across mining, infrastructure, and natural resources projects.

Qualifications

Educated knowledge and experience with Esri ArcGIS software, primarily ArcPro and ArcGIS Online, as well as ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Survey123.
Experience building and using a GIS to solve problems and report analytical data for multidisciplinary teams.
Technical training in GIS mapping, geospatial analysis and geographic principles.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain spatial/non-spatial information for ESRI ArcGIS platforms (ArcGIS Pro/Desktop, AGO).
Produce custom thematic map products and data summaries for multidisciplinary deliverables.
Prepare web maps, dashboards, and manage data for field survey crews (Survey123, Field Maps, ArcGIS Online).
Interpret and analyze spatial data; perform complex spatial analysis with scripts and geoprocessing tools.
Lead GIS projects, manage data, budgets, and timelines within a multi-disciplinary team.
Maintain data integrity and quality control; support other GIS staff as needed.
Communicate with clients to discuss optimal geospatial approaches for project needs.
