Job summary

Stantec seeks a Geospatial Analyst to join the Great Lakes Environmental Services group in Madison, WI. You will support mapping applications, spatial analysis, and map production within an ESRI ArcGIS environment.

The role emphasizes data management, web maps, dashboards, and field data collection using Survey123 and ArcGIS Online, with QA/QC and cross-office collaboration as core duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geoscience, Environmental Science, or related field with GIS training or coursework.
• 1–3 years of professional GIS services experience preferred.
• Experience delivering GIS products and analyses for Environmental Assessments or site assessments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Compile, create and maintain spatial and non-spatial information for ESRI ArcGIS platforms (ArcGIS Pro & AGO).
• Work in Windows 11 and MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, SharePoint).
• Produce custom thematic maps and carry out data analyses to support multidisciplinary deliverables.
• Prepare web maps, online dashboards, and manage data for field survey crews using Survey123, Field Maps, and ArcGIS Online.
• Support geospatial field data collection (wetlands, waterways, species occurrences/habitats).
• Adhere to cartographic standards and QA/QC processes.
• Manage diverse geospatial data per data management standards.
• Identify and address technical problems promptly.
• Collaborate with GIS staff in other Stantec offices.
• Report to the Great Lakes Geospatial Team Lead.
