Job summary

Esri seeks a geospatial and AEC subject matter expert to advise customers on complex GIS challenges. You’ll join an account team, present solutions, and demonstrate how Esri technology reveals patterns and insights that accelerate decisions.

As a senior advisor, you’ll lead technical meetings, configure solutions, and help customers realize value from ArcGIS across enterprise environments. Willingness to travel 25–50% is required; visa not sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
• 3+ years of experience in AEC, environmental consulting, or related industries.
• Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud computing).
• Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design.
• Understanding of sales and business development processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture.
• Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments (Microsoft Azure or AWS).
• Experience integrating software solutions with data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms.
• Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and JavaScript.
• Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25‑50%.

• Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships. Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions as part of the account team.
• Be an expert. Lead technical meetings and become a subject matter expert for Esri technology and AEC/environmental consulting.
• Solve problems. Craft solutions showing how GIS adds business value and deliver complex strategies to align Esri tech with customer needs.
• Tell our story. Design presentations for technical and non‑technical audiences and provide configuration guidance.
