Job summary

Esri in Minneapolis seeks GIS Solution Engineers who are trusted advisors, combining deep ArcGIS expertise with business insight to solve complex challenges across finance, healthcare, manufacturing and more. They will build relationships, lead technical meetings, and present solutions to executives.

The role requires 5+ years with Esri tech, strong consulting skills, and travel up to 50% domestically or internationally, leveraging ArcGIS, Python and JavaScript within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps and analyzing spatial data
• 3+ years in Hi-Tech or Financial Services or related sectors
• Broad ArcGIS knowledge in IT context including hardware, networking and cloud
• Experience in technical consulting and solution design
• Understanding of sales processes and business development
• Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri deployments
• Experience with geodatabases and DBMS
• Knowledge of cloud concepts (Azure/AWS)
• Experience integrating software with data warehousing, CRM, ERP, analytics
• Programming/scripting in Python and JavaScript
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel 25–50%
• Bachelor's degree in geography, CS, or related field
• Visa work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and lead technical meetings to drive revenue
• Be a technical leader of Esri technology and advise on commercial industries
• Proactively craft solutions aligning Esri technology with customer business needs
• Design presentations for technical and non-technical audiences and present at conferences
