Job summary
SAM in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior GIS Project Manager – Seller/Doer to drive business growth, expand client relationships, and lead the delivery of GIS projects. The role blends strategic development with hands-on project leadership, managing large, multidisciplinary GIS initiatives, budgets, and staffing while mentoring staff and shaping market strategies across utility, infrastructure, and public sector clients.

Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive GIS experience in consulting
- 5+ years of project management or staff leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with utility and infrastructure clients
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships that result in repeat business
- Lead large GIS projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring schedule and budget targets
- Oversee budgets, contracts, QA/QC, and resource allocation
- Mentor and develop GIS staff and foster a high-performance culture
