Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC seeks an experienced Senior IT/Technology Project Manager with GIS project experience to lead a large-scale GIS modernization and implementation initiative. The role requires design-phase ownership, business case support, and execution through go-live and closeout.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT/Technology Project Management experience, with 10+ years strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing GIS-related technology projects.
• Proven success delivering complex, large-scale enterprise technology/software projects.
• Experience leading projects from initiation and planning through implementation, go-live, and closeout.
• Experience managing enterprise software implementations, upgrades, migrations, or conversions.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Waterfall SDLC and structured project delivery methodologies.
• Experience working within stage-gate/project governance processes.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage detailed, resource-loaded project schedules.
• Strong experience managing third-party vendors, consulting partners, and/or system integrators.
• Proven ability to manage project risks, issues, dependencies, scope, schedules, resources, and escalations.
• Ability to drive execution, challenge assumptions when appropriate, remove obstacles, and hold teams accountable for commitments.
• Strong executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex initiatives with minimal oversight.
• Strong systems-thinking, critical problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large-scale GIS project from design phase to closeout.
• Quickly assess project status, risks, and priorities.
• Develop an integrated implementation roadmap and plan.
• Create resource-loaded schedules in MS Project.
• Coordinate across GIS teams, IT, stakeholders, vendors.
• Lead scope, schedule, risk, and dependency management.
• Establish ownership and commitments across workstreams.
• Hold vendors and system integrators accountable for deliverables.
• Lead governance within Waterfall SDLC and stage-gate.
• Translate GIS/technical information into clear business decisions.
• Provide project reporting to leadership.
• Support business case development including scope, timelines, costs.
• Plan system migration, testing, cutover, training, operations.
• Build stakeholder alignment across groups.
