Job summary

VHB is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst/Project Manager to join our growing New England team. The role offers a hybrid schedule from a Massachusetts office or others in the region, with responsibilities spanning GIS leadership, client management, and project delivery across multiple sectors.

You will mentor junior staff, lead GIS projects, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement Esri-based solutions, dashboards, and web apps. Experience with ArcGIS Suite is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years GIS experience including 4+ years in project management.
• BS in GIS, Engineering, Planning, or Geography; Master's preferred.
• GISP certification preferred.
• Extensive experience with ArcGIS Platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise).

Responsibilities

• Manage GIS projects to deliver on time, within budget, and aligned with scope and client expectations.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and assisting with proposals.
• Collaborate with software engineers and GIS professionals to support spatial data processes and end-user applications.
• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and support to junior GIS staff.
• Configure web apps using ArcGIS Online/Portal (Field Maps, Survey123, StoryMaps, Experience Builder).
• Communicate effectively as both an individual contributor and team member.
• Proactively propose solutions to project problems and estimates for scopes of work.
• Perform Quality Control on work products produced by others.
