Job summary

VHB is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst/Project Manager to join our growing New England team. The role offers a hybrid schedule from MA offices (Boston, Worcester, Springfield) or Providence, RI, with other NE locations considered.

You will lead GIS projects across transportation, municipal, energy, and real estate sectors, mentoring junior staff and ensuring high-quality geospatial deliverables. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in GIS, 4+ years in project management, and strong ArcGIS experience,

Qualifications

8+ years of professional GIS experience with at least 4 years in project management.
BS in GIS, Engineering, Planning, or Geography.
Master's degree preferred; may substitute for 1-2 years experience.

Responsibilities

Manage and support GIS projects to be delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
Support business development by identifying opportunities and assisting with proposals/interviews.
Collaborate with software engineers, GIS professionals, and project teams on spatial data processes and end-user apps.
Provide technical direction, mentorship, and support to junior GIS staff and team members.
Configure web applications using Esri ArcGIS Online/Portal to support project work.
Communicate effectively and work both independently and within a large team.
Offer ideas to solve project-related problems and drive efficiency.
Provide time estimates, scopes of work, and budget estimates for proposals/RFPs.
Perform Quality Control tests on work products.
