Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst/Project Manager to lead diverse GIS projects across transportation, municipal, and federal sectors.

The role combines project leadership, technical GIS proficiency, and client relationship development in a collaborative, hybrid-work environment. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in GIS with at least 4 years in project management, strong Esri ArcGIS Platform skills, and a BS in a related field (Master's preferred).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience utilizing GIS technology, including at least 4 years of project management.
• BS in GIS, Engineering, Planning, or Geography; Master's preferred.
• GISP certification preferred and Esri ArcGIS Platform expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead GIS projects to on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with scope and client expectations.
• Support business development by pursuing opportunities and assisting with proposals.
• Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to support spatial data processes and end-user apps.
• Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior GIS staff and project teams.
• Configure web applications using ArcGIS Online/Portal and related Esri tools to support project work.
• Communicate effectively, work both independently and in teams, and contribute solutions to project challenges.
• Estimate scopes, write proposals, and develop budget estimates for projects.
