Job summary

City of Santa Clarita is seeking a GIS Information Technology Analyst to develop interactive mapping apps, manage GIS data, and train staff. You will collaborate with departments to deliver accurate maps, charts, and reports while ensuring data integrity and system usability.

The role requires strong GIS software knowledge, data analysis skills, and the ability to translate requirements into reliable GIS solutions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ArcGIS software, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Ability to design, publish, and maintain interactive online web mapping applications.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, Python, and SQL for GIS automation and integration.

Responsibilities

• Develops and publishes interactive online mapping applications.
• Analyzes cartographic and statistical data and prepares reports and dashboards.
• Leads complex GIS projects and coordinates with City staff and external partners.
