Job summary

Dominion Energy Virginia's Electric Transmission organization is seeking a Consulting Engineer with GIS expertise to own lifecycle management of GIS assets, from concept through end-of-life. You will lead major equipment engineering, EPC procurement, and field support across multiple internal teams.

The role requires strong communication, project management, and leadership skills, with extensive experience in GIS and transmission/substation systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's in engineering required; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Engineering PhD or MS may substitute years of experience per ABET.
• PE license desirable or required per role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison among Operations Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Supply Chain, and EPC contractors.
• Manage EPC bidding processes, bid package reviews, and post-award discussions.
• Standardize EPC projects for GIS systems to ensure design consistency and reliability.
• Collaborate with Project Management and SOC on workflows to address reliability needs.
• Lead vendor evaluations and audits for GIS equipment and services.
