Job summary

Dominion Energy Virginia’s Electric Transmission (ET)-Project Management Organization (PMO) seeks a highly motivated Electric T&D Projects Manager I to support development and program implementations. The role interfaces with field and project teams to ensure milestones are met and to provide expert project guidance.

This position emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficiency within the GI to Build program.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in Substation Engineering, Substation Construction, or demonstrated equivalent.
• Partial year of related work experience (6 months or greater) counts toward one year.
• Thorough understanding of substation components and their functions.
• Understanding of substation design drawing packages.
• Experience in project execution and project management.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to plan and organize work assignments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Firm understanding of transmission and distribution substations.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert project support to project team for development and application of process tracking and improvements
• Provide development schedules and documentation to track and ensure teams are meeting milestones to support the organization
• Review work activities to support Project Execution, Substation Standards, Quality Assurance, and Substation Engineering
• Identify deviations of standard practices and develop/recommend improvements to existing processes to increase productivity
• Evaluate and recommend applications and methods considering all stakeholders input to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency
• Participate in various company teams and industry organizations to enhance Substation Project group performance
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
