Job summary
Colorado Springs Utilities seeks a GIS Conversion Supervisor to lead enterprise data conversion and migration projects across electric, water, and other assets. You will supervise GIS technicians, manage schedules, QA/QC, and serve as the SME for GIS data conversion and data quality.
Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and Asset Management to drive improvements and ensure data integrity. Ideal candidates bring extensive GIS experience, strong leadership, and a track record delivering large-scale
Qualifications
- Extensive GIS experience including data conversion/migration.
- Supervisory/lead/project leadership experience.
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise/Online.
- Experience managing large GIS conversion projects.
- Knowledge of geospatial standards, coords, metadata.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise GIS conversion staff and assignments.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor GIS conversion projects.
- Develop and maintain data conversion standards.
- Oversee migration of data from legacy systems into GIS.
- Establish QA/QC for data accuracy and completeness.
- Manage infrastructure records for utility assets.
- Collaborate with partners to define requirements and deliverables.
- Resolve data/workflow issues throughout lifecycles.
- Present status updates and metrics to leadership.
- Identify automation opportunities and tech enhancements.
- Manage contractor and vendor relationships.
