Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of integrations between GIS, ERP, EAM, engineering design, and other enterprise systems.
  • Serve as a technical advisor throughout the software implementation lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate client meetings, workshops, and project discussions.
  • Develop and maintain solution architectures aligned with client objectives and industry best practices.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior GIS Integrations Technical Consultant to join a growing professional services team focused on delivering complex software implementation and integration projects. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integrations between GIS platforms, engineering design systems, enterprise applications, and operational technologies across utility, telecommunications, and public sector environments.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated consultant with strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for solving complex business and technology challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of integrations between GIS, ERP, EAM, engineering design, and other enterprise systems.
  • Serve as a technical advisor throughout the software implementation lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate client meetings, workshops, and project discussions.
  • Develop and maintain solution architectures aligned with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Support data migration, ETL processes, system configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, technical standards, and implementation methodologies.
  • Travel periodically to client sites, project meetings, and company events.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software consulting, systems integration, software development, or related technical services roles.

  • Ability to travel approximately 30% as project demands require.
Preferred Qualifications
  • GIS Analyst or GIS Administration experience.
  • Experience developing and supporting APIs, web services, and system integrations.
  • Experience documenting business processes and functional requirements.
  • Exposure to engineering design, drafting, or CAD environments.
  • Experience with:
    • Autodesk AutoCAD
    • AutoCAD Map 3D
    • Autodesk Inventor
    • Feature Manipulation Engine (FME)
  • Knowledge of Agile software delivery methodologies.
  • Understanding of electric utility infrastructure, including:
    • Distribution
    • Transmission
  • Previous experience working for a consulting firm, utility company, engineering organization, or software implementation provider.
  • Additional GIS Experience Preferred:
    • ArcMap administration and map creation
    • Data analysis and data management
    • Understanding of geodatabases and GIS data structures
    • ArcGIS Enterprise administration, portals, and services
